Overview
Heather started her legal career in 1999, and after a brief hiatus, she rejoined the field and works as an intellectual property paralegal. She has assisted clients in all aspects of IP prosecution including trademark clearance, filing and maintenance (worldwide) including filing and prosecution of Madrid applications, patent application filings, prosecution and maintenance, including PCT applications, copyright applications and domain name filings. Heather has also assisted with Trademark Trial and Appeal Board filings to include oppositions and cancellations. She has prepared trademark statements of use, office action responses, and declarations of continued use and renewals, as well as patent preliminary amendments, IDS filings and continuation applications. She also maintains the docket for trademarks and patents and manages a portfolio of over one thousand trademark and patent matters.
Heather received a B.A. from the University of Washington. She received her paralegal certificate from Edmonds College. She is also a veteran of the U.S. Army where she served as an Electronic Warfare Signals Intelligence Analyst and Korean linguist.
Outside of the office, Heather enjoys hiking, cooking, traveling and spending time with her family.
